Xexun Configuration

The Xexun TK102, TK102-2, TK103 and TK103-2 are affordable tracking devices that use the GPRS cellular network to transmit location information and are easily configured using any SMS/text-enabled cellphone.

Listener address: 184.73.199.2
Port: TCP 1897

  1. Do you have all the elements in place to successfully connect your device to the GPS Tracking Server?
Check the Tracking Device Connection Guide before configuring your device: Tracking Device Connection Guide
  2. Confirm you have a genuine Xexun device
There are several 'clone' devices that mimic the Xexun's form factor and packaging but these are not currently supported by the GPS Tracking Server. Only devices confirmed as genuine by Xexun's online verification tool are supported for use with the GPS Tracking Server. To verify you have a genuine Xexun-manufactured device enter your device's IMEI number on Xexun's site here: http://www.gpstrackerchina.com
  3. Install SIM Card
    1. Remove back cover of the device and remove the battery. This should expose the IMEI number of the tracking device.
    2. Record the IMEI number as you will need it when you add your device to the GPS Tracking Server.
    3. Install the SIM card and replace the battery and back cover of the device.
  4. Turn on Tracking Device
    1. Press the ON/OFF button on the side of the TK102 and hold until the green light blinks. When you release the ON/OFF button the green light should be blinking quickly.
    2. Place outside where the device has a clear view of the sky. This will allow for the device to easily connect to the cellular data network and also start calculating its GPS location.
It is very important that you place the device outdoors or it may not be able to get accurate GPS fixes.
  5. Confirm Cellular Data Connection
    1. Connection to the cellular data network should occur quickly but could take anywhere between 10 to 30 seconds. Once the green light on the side of TK102 blinks slowly you know the device is now connected to the cellular data network and you can start to configure the device.
  6. Configure Tracking Device
    1. On your text enabled cellphone compose a text message to the phone number of the SIM card installed in your tracking device.
    2. Send the following commands each in their own text message. After each command you should receive an “ok!” message that matches the command type. For example you would get begin ok! in response to the begin123456 command.
      1. begin123456
This command formats the device and sets to factory defaults. 123456 is the factory default password.
      2. apn123456 c1.korem2m.com
This command tells the device which cellular network to connect to. Replace the c1.korem2m.com with your APN.
      3. adminip123456 184.73.199.2 1897
This command tells the device which server IP Address (184.73.199.2) and Port (1897) to send its location information to.
      4. t030s*n123456
This command enables Auto-Track where the device will send unlimited locations every 30 seconds over GPRS. -
        Login to GPS Tracking Server**
    3. Now we can login in to the GPS Tracking Server and add our tracking device to the system using the IMEI number we recorded in step 1. For further instructions on adding your device to the Map Suite GPS Tracking Server see the Map Suite GPS Tracking Server Web Portal Quick Start Guide.
