The SANAV GX-101 is a device designed for vehicle installation. It allows for configuration via SMS-text messages and via SANAV's PC-based utility. Here we describe how to configure the GX-101 via SMS.
This guide assumes the GX-101 is already installed in a vehicle.

Install SIM Card
Remove SIM Card drawer using the Eject button, insert SIM card into drawer and return drawer to slot.
Record the IMEI number as you will need it when you add your device to the GPS Tracking Server.
Turn on Tracking Device
Supply power to the device by turning on ignition of vehicle.
Position the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky. This will allow for the device to easily connect to the cellular data network and also start calculating its GPS location. It is very important that you place the device's antenna in an unobstructed location or it may not be able to get accurate GPS fixes.
Confirm Cellular Data Connection
Connection to the cellular data network should occur quickly but could take anywhere between 10 to 30 seconds. When the red GSM LED is on solid and the yellow GPS fix LED is blinking then you can start to configure the device.
Configure Tracking Device
On your text enabled cellphone compose a text message to the phone number of the SIM card installed in your tracking device.
Send the following commands each in their own text message. If the device successfully received the command it will respond back.
The default username is username.
The default password is 0000.
#username,0000,3,c1.korem2m.com,,*
This command sets the APN to c1.korem2m.com. Replace this with your own APN value.

This commands specifies the HTTP address that the device sends its location messages to.
#username,0000,14,2*
This command specifies that the device will only send out information using HTTP.
#username,0000,6,30,9999,1,1*
This command enabled Auto Track where the device will send out its location every 30 seconds.
9999 means the device will send out messages any time it is turned on.
