===== What is the Enhancement Tracker? =====
The [[http://helpdesk.thinkgeo.com/EnhancementTracker|Enhancement Tracker]] is designed for users to suggest new product features or enhancements and vote on those items that they value the most.  Our discussion forums have always been a great source for new ideas; however, we previously only tracked them in our internal issue system.  This meant that even though the idea was captured, the user who suggested it had no visibility past that point.  Another drawback with having only the discussion forums was that it was difficult to judge how many users really cared about a feature. This impacted planning for each release as we had less than complete information about what our users wanted. 

==== Voting ====
Click the "Vote Up" button next to your favorite enhancement ideas to tell us that you want to see those features in Map Suite.  We limit the number of times your organization can vote on any one item, as we want to try and keep "vote spammers" in line.  To that end, the number of votes you see may not accurately reflect the priority we assign to the item as we do some back-end analysis to weed out spam votes.

==== Discussion ====
To learn more about an idea, click on its "Discussion Topic" link to visit the forums, where you can review and contribute to the discussion about that feature.  We welcome all constructive feedback and suggest that if the feature is important to you that you provide as much information as possible about your expectations.  The more information we have, the better we can implement the idea.  It also serves as a place where we can post updates as we move along each feature in development.

===== How Do Enhancements Make It Into the Products? =====
At the end of each major release (and sometimes in the interim), we review all of the [[http://helpdesk.thinkgeo.com/EnhancementTracker|Enhancement Tracker]] items to see which ones have garnered the most interest from our customers.  We then cross-reference this with our internal goals and vision of the products to ensure that the best features are included in the next release of Map Suite.

===== How Do I Suggest an Enhancement? =====
If you don't see the feature you want, simply suggest it using the simple form on the right side of the screen under "Suggest an Enhancement".  The suggestion will be manually reviewed and posted to the [[http://helpdesk.thinkgeo.com/EnhancementTracker|Enhancement Tracker]] typically within 48 hours. After that time your feature will be visible to the public and ready to be voted on.  Visit the Enhancement Tracker now and cast your vote for the features you most want to see in a future Map Suite release!
